Professional Wedding Make-up Promotion with Business Cards

First impressions always last. They may change in time but they’re never forgotten. This is the reason why creating a good first impression is always important. In the case of meeting with a wedding make-up artist, first impressions can make or break the business transaction. Business cards also play a crucial role of projecting the image of professionalism. Business cards serve as the “right foot forward” in any business meeting. Professional business cards today can be conveniently printed using the services of an online printing company. What’s more, online printers offer cheap business cards printing at wholesale orders. Below are elements to consider when printing professional business cards.

Color-Standard industry colors are usually bright white. Bright white is clean and professional looking. However, make-up artist can choose to be more distinctive and creative by using other shades of white particularly ivory, cream or oyster. The wedding industry is not as rigid as the finance industry. Colors can be relaxed and soft. Online printers offer front and back full color printing of business cards.

Text and color-Select a font face and size that best reflects a personal image. Again to stand out, there is no need to stick with the industry norm or standard. The text type and color though, has to be legible and clear. Online printers offer reliable and added conveniences such as free digital proofing and sample paper stock delivery.

Information-Choosing the right information is crucial when printing a business card. Apart from the essentials such as name and contact numbers, it’s important to highlight information that will lead potential clients to a website or catalog of professional work. This detail can be very helpful to customers. It provides them directly with answers that they need. The inclusion of credentials such as affiliates and professional certifications contribute to customers’ confidence. As a business card provides limited space, both front and back should be printed with information. Printing a list of high profile weddings done at the back of the card establishes experience.

I’m a freelance makeup artist based in NYC, What is a creative name for my business card?

I’d rather not have my full name on it, so I’m going to go by my middle name which is Blaze ( yes I know it’s weird)
Any spunky ideas for a business name?

How I depot powder makeup

Supplies: Heat source (in my case my stove), foil, 2 tweezers, butter knife, magnet (I cut up pieces from free business card magnets that I collect for this purpose) Caution: Items will be hot to the touch and burning plastic smells strongly. Well ventilated area is recommended. Instructions: Turn on your electric stove (medium to medium-high). Place a piece of foil on the burner. Pop out the eyeshadow from the compact by wedging knife into it. Place eyeshadow and compact onto foil. Pay close attention as the plastic melts quickly. First, check on the compact. When the edge of the label peels, it’s time to take it off with tweezers. Put label to the side. Second, using tweezers, lift up eyeshadow & check underneath it. Once it has a tiny hole melted through it, it is ready to be manipulated. Turn it upside down (do it off of the burner), and with tweezers press gently down on the pan. The side of the plastic will pry away from pan. Now, use tweezers to pull out pan from plastic. The glue is still gummy so stick a piece of magnet to the pan then the label over the magnet. You’re done! Alternatives: You don’t have an electric stove? You can use a frying pan on a gas stove. You can use an electric grill but I recommend changing the grill plate to the griddle plate. Always use foil–the plastic melts and gets messy and the glue is gummy. You can even try the burner on the coffee maker! This method works for any brand of powder makeup. Designing Make-up Artist Business Cards: Get Inspiration from Make-up Tools

Business cards are designed to carry essential information and represent one’s brand identity. These prints serve as pieces of cards that remind your clients about you.  A business card is a reliable tool that you can use for client meetings, promotions and at times when random clients approach you to inquire about your services.

Your make-up artist business card must be the best representation of your profession in order for you to effectively market your service. Aside from its design, the quality of your business cards says a lot about who you are as a professional. Come to a reputable online printer like UPrinting to get your hands on high quality and professional-looking business cards. Designing your make-up artist business cards is easy if you have a particular concept in mind. And what’s the better way to design your business cards than getting inspiration from your make-up tools?

•    Brush Strokes: Use a brush font like Airbrush or Lipstick Traces for your business card’s information. These fonts are very appropriate to use on your business cards especially if you want to achieve the professional make-up artist look. Choose the most readable font size so clients won’t have a hard time reading your essential information.

•    Lipstick Kiss: Make the lipstick kiss standout by placing the image on a black background. The striking color of the lipstick kiss can already stand alone on your business card so there is no need for you to put additional images or graphics on your prints.

•    Make-up Palette: Images of make-up palette can be used as borders for your business cards. Colorful make-up palette can highlight the information on your print materials. Just do not allow the images to overshadow your business card’s content, since your essential information is the most important element of your print materials.
