Payroll Network Partners with iTransact to Offer Free Analysis of Maryland, D.C. and Virginia Businesses’ Credit Card Processing
Kensington, MD (PRWEB) October 08, 2011
Maryland, D.C. and Virginia companies are increasingly conducting business by accepting credit card payments; however, 85 percent of businesses could be paying 10-25 percent less, according to iTransact, a premier provider of merchant accounts.
Payroll Network (http://www.payrollnetwork.com), the largest independently-owned payroll management company that provides payroll processing and HR services to companies in the Washington, D.C. region, has formed a new partnership with iTransact to offer credit card processing and merchant services for Payroll Network’s clients. A highlight of the partnership is a free evaluation of credit card processing and merchant service fees for any business in the region.
“We will save you money or we will assure you that your current rates are extremely competitive. Either way, we guarantee good news,” said Charlie Wolf, President and CEO of Payroll Network.
The two companies have also created a program where “trusted advisors” such as CPAs and employee benefits advisors can benefit by making referrals for the analysis.
iTransact (http://www.itransact.com) is a privately held payment-acceptance company based near Salt Lake City, Utah. Founded in 1994 as RediCheck, the first provider of Internet-based check acceptance services, today iTransact offers merchant accounts (and related services and equipment) in addition to their proprietary Internet payment gateway. The company enables Internet, bricks-and-clicks, and traditional brick-and-mortar merchants to accept payments via credit, debit, and gift cards, as well as electronic checks (and/or check conversion with check guarantee).
“Payroll Network and iTransact have aligned values where our first responsibility is to our customers,” said Stephen Hall, CEO of iTransact.“We have worked with hundreds of business executives who appreciate being able to have a better understanding of their fees while also either recovering money or just having the peace of mind that they are paying the most competitive prices.”

Your very own, hand crafted, and colorful business card holder is just a few steps away! A small paint chip business card holder would fit in a basic 3.5 inches into 2.5 inches business card. To begin with, get hold of some paint chips. If you do not, already have some at your home, then no worries. You can easily get these from any hardware paint store. Once you have the paint chips ready, your paint chip business card holder is waiting to be made.
You can get a template of the business card holders that you wish to make. Then, put a clear tape that is used for packaging all over the printed template, so that you are able to avoid the transfer of ink to the face of your paint chips. After the template is done, you can make paint chip business card holders of your choice. Such kinds of business card holders give a completely new dimension to your business cards. Nothing goes in waste from your painted house, yet you have a whole new item to flaunt elegantly. Your card holder is bound to be unique, and you can afford to go colorful, yet not very loud, when it comes to flaunting your new card holder.
After you have decided on the template, you need to flip your chosen paint chip upside down on to the template. If you follow this process, then you would be able to make the scribe marks right on the back side of the paint chip. As soon as you have this set, then you need to tape down around three to four sides. While doing this, you would require some simple tools, such as a ruler which has a straight edge, an exact knife, a scribe, or something which is round, yet pointed, so that it will be able to crease the paper, yet not cut it. After having these equipments handy, scribe all the red lines. Ensure that you are avoiding scribing over the whole back portion of the paint chip. This helps you retain a cleaner back surface of the paint chip, and it does not look untidy. After you have done this, cut off the grey portions. The tiny offsets that you would find would serve the purpose of giving enough room for the paper to be folded into each other.
Apart from this, the flap also gets a nice slot, if this process is followed. As soon as this is done, everything else is cut, made, and waiting to be folded. You need to fold everything in such a way, that things remain inwards, at 90 degrees. Take care to see that you do not bend too much of the ends inside, as some of the paint might just flake off. Then, put a piece of long tape on the bottom part of the paint chip. This is in order to give your business cards a proper slide into your card holder. Now, take the long piece of tape, and put it down in such a way, so that it goes all the way right till the top flap. After this tape is done, the remaining of the folding should be done in a jiffy easily. Then, all you need to do is fold in the inside flap, and your paint chip card holder is now ready to be used.

Hiring a professional graphic designer to design your business cards for you can be very expensive and if you are a new business its probably an expense you can do without. Having a professional looking card is really important to your new business as it’s the “face” of your business and one of the first impressions someone is likely to get of you and your business. If you can’t afford a graphic designer, then you can still have a professional looking business card on a budget. Here are 3 great ways to make your own business cards:
Make It Yourself
With a home computer and Microsoft Word you can make a simple but very effective business card. MS Word comes with quite a few great looking templates you can use, but you can even download a lot more from their website. These are great because with absolutely zero design skills you can have a great design. All you need to do then is to print it on your home printer. The templates are optimized, so it will allow you to print 12 to 16 cards on a single A4.

Printing Machines
I must admit that when I first saw it I was very skeptical, but it really is a great idea. You’ve probably seen them at Airports and these machines work like vending machines. All you have to do is to enter your personal details, select a design and it instantly prints your professional looking business cards for you. Many copy shops and business centers have these machines and although its quite expensive, it’s the quickest and easiest way to have a great looking card.
Automated Websites
There are quite a few great websites that really simplifies the design process. Some of them have thousands of design you can choose from and they look ultra professional. You need no design skills – just enter your details. Sites like VistaPrint is particularly popular because they even print it for you – and deliver it to your front door. They also allow you to print business thank you cards, mugs, calendars and whatever you need to run and promote your new business.
There really is no excuse for not having a professional looking business card. Online services that also print it for you really makes the process hands off. If you are in a real hurry, head to your local business center and use one of the automated printing machines and if you are really hard up, use your computer.

Printed Paper Christmas Cards Still Set the Standard for Business
Chicago (PRWEB) November 20, 2007
There’s no doubt we live in an increasingly digital age, with electronic methods becoming popular for everything from music downloads to photo sharing. However, when it comes to sending Christmas and holiday greetings to customers and business associates, printed paper cards still set the standard, according to Tim Christopoulos, president of Holiday Cards Unlimited (http://www.holidaycardsunlimited.com).
“Although e-cards may be suitable for some occasions, the quality, beauty and permanence of paper Christmas cards help companies make a positive impression during the holidays. Cards may be personalized in a variety of ways, and the very act of signing and mailing cards indicates that you value your customers by putting time and thought into what you send them. Sending e-cards may often look like a last-minute substitute,” according to Christopoulos.
There are several potential delivery issues with e-cards that also make traditional paper cards a better choice, explained Christopoulos. E-cards that are sent with attachments or as part of a mass mailing risk being blocked by corporate firewalls or spam filters. Even if they are received, there is a chance an e-card will be overlooked or not opened given the volume of e-mail most executives receive every day. In fact, printed cards may stand out more than ever as the volume of regular business mail declines.
Another advantage of paper cards is that they serve as a reminder throughout the holidays that you care for your customers and associates, since many people often display cards in their offices.
While sending cards by traditional means has advantages for companies, business buyers will benefit from ordering cards online. Christopoulos notes that ordering online can take days off of traditional methods for buying custom printed cards. Doing everything electronically provides a number of benefits:
Customers have a full range of choices at their fingertips, rather than sifting through page after page from bulky catalogues.
It is easier to customize and visualize the inside of the card at the time of ordering.
Ordering is simplified because pricing is automatically calculated rather than needing to decipher product numbers and pricings.
Holiday Cards Unlimited customers can quickly view different categories of card themes, such as unity, professions or calendars, and then save preliminary choices in their account on the website. This simplifies review if multiple people are involved. Cards can be customized with a choice of more than 20 verses, plus different type styles and colors. Businesses may also provide their own verse or personalize cards with a logo. Once a choice is made, proofs may be viewed online. Most orders are shipped within two to three business days.

If you own a business, then a business card is a must. The importance of a business card in your business cannot be stressed enough. Your business card is going to be the first salesman in your customer’s first encounter with you. Whatever type of card you will give your customer is going to give you two possible things: a great publicity that can uplift your business or a bad publicity that can ruin it. Just like in show business, there is no exact distinction between the two types, but if you love your business, it will mean the world to you. So if you want to only get the best business card for your business and not the bad one, always create great but cheap business cards. However, do you know what the things that make a great business card are? If not, read the following business card printing tips.
Always equip your business card with great layout and designs. For you to have a good and effective business card, it should be always neatly and professionally designed. It should also be equipped with all your contact information placed in an organized manner. A good example for that is putting all your contact information on a prime location such as the bottom portion of your card. If you do this, it is a must not to put any contact information on other places aside from the bottom of your card. This is a very effective way in making your business card effective since most customers like organized businessmen. Also using or hiring a graphic artist will help you make your business card look good. However, make sure that you do not overdo the design of your card as this will just annoy your customer and will greatly affect your business.
]]>
Another good idea in making your business card effective and good looking is by placing the logo of your company in your business card. The logo of your business must always be placed in the card’s prominent part and should not be placed on parts that will not be seen easily by customers.
Another thing that your business cards must always have is a great function. Compared to the early types of business cards that only the holders name and the business he stands for is in the content, nowadays most business cards are equipped with unique things that makes them very effective. For example, you can create a business card that is printed on both sides. One side can be used to place your name and your business contact information while the other side can be used in containing the information about your business products and services. You can also place on the other side of the card what makes you different from your competitors. This process will give you an edge over your competitors.
And, of course, you must always consider compiling your message in just a few words as you do not have a lot of space to put all your messages. It’s best to talk to your business card printer on how to organize well your message and fit into your card everything you want to tell your customers. They are the best person to advice you on how to make the most out of your business card.
